DONATION OF CONSERVATION EASEMENT ACCEPTED ON MISSOURI CENTURY FARM!
The Platte Land Trust signed a conservation easement agreement on a Missouri Century Farm in November 2011. This 300-acre farm protects the water quality in the Little Blue River watershed with an intact riparian corridor that also provides habitat for wildlife.
WHAT IS THE PLATTE LAND TRUST?
The Platte Land Trust is a non-profit organization dedicated to conserving and protecting natural lands. Through a variety of efforts, we are working to preserve key scenic, recreational, agricultural, wildlife habitat and watershed lands.
Our purpose is: to preserve and promote the retention of valuable land for protection of green space for scenic and recreational enjoyment; responsible land use; watershed maintenance; wildlife habitat.
Our plans are to: promote and protect natural landscapes; educate the public on preservation issues; acquire conservation easements and interests in land preservation.
